The Gaslight Anthem - 45

RIYL: The Horrible Crowes, Bruce Springsteen, Against Me!, Fake Problems

I started listening to The Gaslight Anthem pretty much right when I started my freshman year of college. It was kind of nice timing that they released their new single, “45”, today - after I took my last final of my senior year. Handwritten is going to be a great album. This band represents everything I actually like about New Jersey, while everything else in pop culture is turning New Jersey into something else entirely. This song and this album are going to be huge for the band, but also for me personally. I can tell that in a year or two, I’ll put Handwritten on, and it will be one of “those albums” that instantly takes me back to the time period when it first came out.
